The Area
La Canalosa is a small village between Hondon de las Nieves and Hondon de los Frailles.
Just a half-hour car journey from Alicante airport and you will find yourself in an area of stunning mountain scenery, amongst olive and almond groves and vineyards.
The Crevillente mountains are some 837 metres high and there are several walks mapped out graded from easy to high. With good access by road to most areas, road cycling and motorbike touring are favourite local pastimes.
The Property
The temperature inside the cave remains a constant 18 - 20 degrees so is cool in the hot summer months and warm and cosy in the winter. It is light and spacious providing ample sleeping, eating and relaxing areas for up to six people.
The furnishings have been carefully selected to retain character but to provide modern and comfortable facilities.
Bedrooms
There are four bedrooms, three double and one single, sleeping up to seven people and a travel cot is available.

Relaxing and dining
The spacious lounge/dining room has a snug area with fireplace, log burning stove and bread oven. The lounge provides comfortable sofa's, a TV with satellite dish for UK channels and a DVD player, the bookcase is well stocked with books. There is a dining area with wooden carved chairs and tiled dining table to seat six.
Kitchen
The full kitchen includes a gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and kitchen table with 4 chairs. There is ample equipment for a stress free self catering break.
Bathroom
The large bathroom contains a WC, bidet, basin and shower. Towels are provided but we request you bring your own for the pool area or beach.

The Pool Area
The pool area at the rear of the property can be accessed by a path and steps.
It is fully enclosed by a wall and has a lockable gated entrance. The large pool (10 x 5 metres) is maintained by the owners weekly.
Sunbeds with cushions are provided along with two large gazebos.
The Gardens
The extensive landscaped gardens provide a BBQ and seating areas for outdoor dining.
Petanque court and parking
The owners friendly dogs are always ready to accompany walks if required !
Local facilities
There are ample restaurants and bars, supermarkets, markets and bodegas within easy reach by car.
Local passtimes include: trout fishing, quad biking, horseriding, and a mineral spa within 30 minutes drive.
